This large rural garden contains contrasting elements of traditional restored areas, and formal contemporary design within a flowing layout reflecting the surrounding landscape. The stages of development are shown here, and will be up-dated as the garden matures.

ORIGINAL SITE of the Parterre Garden – neglected, overgrown and infested with Ground Elder
The newly planted Box of the Parterre. This is a full restoration of the original, having been completely cleared, with new paving re-laid and Box edging planted, all to the exact design of the original layout. Note the off-centre ‘quirky’ lines that follow the original design. ((November 2008)
