This terraced garden makes optimum use of a difficult steeply sloping site. With a fall of two metres in a ten metre length it has been divided by interlocking shapes, based on a rectangular grid, into areas of planting, paving, gravel and water.

The multiple levels are achieved with brick retaining walls and rockwork outcrops, and the wide range of plants provides interest at all times of the year.
